About the Course
Silvermere Golf Club is a public parkland course near Cobham in Surrey. Designed by Neil Coles and Brian Huggett and opened in 1976, the layout moves between tree-lined fairways and more open ground before finishing beside Silvermere Lake.
The par-71 course measures around 6,400 yards and places a strong emphasis on accurate driving. Trees can restrict the route into greens after a misplaced tee shot, while the longer par fours and par fives require solid ball striking. Water becomes especially important late in the round, with the 17th and 18th demanding shots across the lake.
Silvermere provides a varied test that becomes increasingly demanding towards the finish. Keeping the ball in play creates scoring chances through the middle of the course, but the closing holes require committed swings and careful club selection.
