Course Information Club details and course guide Address, facilities, membership and information about the course.
Scarborough South Cliff Golf Club is a distinctive coastal course overlooking Scarborough’s South Bay. The layout combines exposed clifftop holes with a contrasting inland section, creating a varied round shaped by sea views, changing elevation and the North Sea wind.
The par-72 course was influenced by Alister MacKenzie and uses the natural ground to create much of its challenge. The clifftop holes demand careful judgement in exposed conditions, while the inland section places greater emphasis on accurate driving and controlled approaches between more sheltered playing lines.
Scarborough South Cliff rewards golfers who adapt quickly as the character of the course changes. Sensible positioning can create scoring chances, but the coastal wind and shifts in terrain mean the same holes can play very differently from one round to the next.
