Course Information Club details and course guide Address, facilities, membership and information about the course.
The Renaissance Club is a modern championship course on the East Lothian coast between North Berwick and Gullane. Opened in 2008 and designed by Tom Doak, the layout moves through coastal woodland and open links terrain before reaching the shores of the Firth of Forth.
The course has hosted the Genesis Scottish Open since 2019 and is confirmed as the tournament’s venue through to 2030. Scotland’s national open brings together leading players from the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, with the event jointly sanctioned by both tours since 2022. Its position on the calendar also makes it an important test immediately before The Open Championship.
Wide but strategically shaped fairways, large greens, deep bunkering and natural contours place a premium on choosing the correct lines. The Renaissance Club rewards controlled ball flight and thoughtful course management, while exposed coastal sections and changing winds provide the championship test expected of a regular Scottish Open venue.
